S*** You Should Know

When starting a dewatering project, what rules and regulations should I know?

Q: When starting a dewatering project what rules and regulations should I know?

A: Dewatering regulations are generally promulgated and enforced on the local level. The State of Florida does not require statewide permitting for dewatering outside of very limited circumstances involving prior unground fuel storage.

It is important that you know and understand your local jurisdictions rules that govern dewatering projects. Building relationships with your local building official, zoning, and development offices will help you navigate local regulations better and solve any conflicts in timely manner.

If you have any question about local dewatering regulations or about reaching out to your local officials please contact FSPA Government Affairs Manager Dallas Thiesen at 941-952-9293 or at Dallas@FloridaPoolPro.com.
