Sept. 2019 Chapter News

Charlotte Harbor News

On July 22 we had the pleasure of hosting an electrical class taught by Mike Childress, Pentair. Members and non-members came in groups to listen to what Mike had to teach. This class gets five stars in our book! Thank you, Mike!

A dozen of our members took advantage of the free CPR class we offered on August 12. We, being in the pool industry, find that it is so important for all of us to be CPR certified. One never knows what they will run into while out and about cleaning and repairing pools. Thank you to those who took advantage of a fun and educational night.

We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming two hour Florida Construction Lien Law CE class (CILB course #0610228, two hour, meets BP requirements, FPSA d/b/a FSPA CILB Providership #0000917) taught by Erik Szabo, Shutts & Bowen LLP, on September 9 at 6:00 p.m. at Beef ‘O’ Brady’s in Punta Gorda. Watch your email for more information and to RSVP.

Be a volunteer! The FSPA High School Swim Meet is on September 27-28 at the Sailfish Splash Aquatic Athletic Center. If you are interested in being a volunteer for the swim meet please call our state office to schedule your time slot. We thank you in advance.

Your 2019 Board is working on exciting and educational events. Please let us hear from you with any suggestions for speakers or events.  If you haven’t already, please like our Facebook page at FSPA Charlotte Harbor Chapter to keep up with upcoming events and meetings.
