We are in the last quarter of the year –
where has the time gone?
We had a packed house on September 13
for our Chapter meeting with more than 70 people! We were happy to
introduce Joani Maskell, a new member and owner of Swimming Safari Swim
School. Joani gave a short presentation about her school and how
grants from FSPA / Florida Swims Foundation help underserved children. I
am happy to report that our Chapter donated $12,000 to the Florida Swims
Foundation on behalf of Swimming Safari at the meeting last night! Thank
you, Northeast Florida Chapter!
Brad Shee, Premier Pools and Outdoor Living, gave a
quick update on Sea Mark Ranch. The permits have been turned in and many of our
members have stepped up to the plate to assist in the construction of the new
pool. Please let us know if you can help in any way if you haven’t
already! This is a 501c3 organization so your donation, even in-kind
labor, will be tax deductible!
Jon Temple, Tempool, was our featured speaker. John
led a very informative class on correct start-up procedures. Thank you, Jon
Temple!
Ballots for your 2024 Board will be appearing in your inbox
soon! Please complete and return them! We would really like to see some
new people interested in serving on the Board of Directors.
Our upcoming Chapter meetings are October 6 for Oktoberfest
at Speck Pumps and celebrating their 40th anniversary,
October 27 is the Annual Skeet Shoot, and December 6 is the annual Table Top at
Maggiano’s.
As always, this is your Chapter – make the most of it by
attending meetings and participating in the events. Speak up if there are
things you want to see us doing! We are always looking for new ideas and suggestions!
