The Board of Directors had a “stuff the bag” night for the
golf tournament! Thank you to the following members for helping out on
this project: Cole Hairston, Brad Corriera, John Garner, Candi
Moorman, Bill Hodgkins, Greg Bowers, and Ryan Luken. More news
to follow on the tournament next month!
By the time you read this, you should have signed up for the CE credit class on May 4 with Fluidra on
digital control installation and connectivity. The class will begin at 6:00
p.m. at Maggiano’s at the Town Center.
Our other upcoming events
thus far include a deep sea fishing private charter in June, a CE class in
August, a skeet shoot on September 9, Oktoberfest at Speck Pumps on
October 20, and the annual Table Top at Maggiano’s November 16.
We would like your feedback on which CE class you would like
us to host in August. Please let us know!
We are happy to report that the Chapter donated $2,500 to
Swimming Safari Swim School here in Jacksonville to help combat childhood
drownings. This donation funded 132 lessons for under privileged children
locally! One of those students was enrolled in the special abilities program!
Additionally, several children went from not knowing how to swim at all to
moving on to a swim team prep course! Great work being done with a great
The upcoming state Board Meeting will be held June 10-11 at
the Westin Waterside in Tampa.
As always, this is your Chapter – make the most of it by
attending meetings and participating in the events. Speak up if there are
things you want to see us doing; let us know! We are always looking for new
ideas and we would really like to see some new people interested in serving on
the Board of Directors.
